Wool And The Gang Reviews

I was really hoping this yarn would be soft, but it felt scratchy and rough against my skin. i don’t think it’s fair to describe it as soft if it feels this uncomfortable to work with or wear.

I’ve bought yarn from Wool and the Gang a few times now the yarn itself is really nice. Soft, good colors, feels like decent quality... but yeah, I’d definitely say don’t just throw it in the wash and hope for the best.

Most of my pieces have been fine when I hand-washed them and dried them flat, no major shrinking or anything. One jumper did come out a little fuzzier than before, which was a bit annoying, but not a total disaster. So overall I’m still happy, just, you know, it’s not exactly zero-effort care.

Maybe it’s just me, but I expected customer service to be a bit quicker. The products themselves are nice, but it took a few days to get a reply, and when they did respond, it didn’t really solve much for me.

I really like that this yarn is made from recycled wool, it makes me feel better about the purchase, and the quality is still good. I’d definitely be happy to use it again, especially if there’s a discount or some kind of credit offered next time...

When I first opened the package, my immediate thought was that the yarn looked a lot duller than it did in the photos. The quality itself feels really nice, so no complaints there, but that first impression definitely threw me off a bit because I had a different color in mind for my project. It wasn’t a total dealbreaker, just enough to change the look of what I was making. I’d probably order from Wool and the Gang again, but I do wish the product photos were a little more true to life.

I ordered some yarn thinking it would show up in a reasonable amount of time, but the shipping was painfully slow. The tracking barely updated, and it looked like the package just sat there for days. What made it even more annoying was that the shipping terms seemed to change after the fact, so what I thought I was getting wasn’t really what happened. By the time it finally arrived, I wasn’t even excited to start my project anymore. Just really frustrating.

It took a bit of time and there was some back and forth with this and that, but the issue did get sorted eventually.

I ordered some cotton and wool yarn from Wool and the Gang, and I’m so happy with it!! It feels super soft, there weren’t any weird knots, and the colors looked just like the photos. My scarf turned out lovely, and I’d definitely buy from them again.

Shipping took forever, and then the customs fees ended up being way more than I was expecting. I don’t know for sure, but it almost felt like something wasn’t calculated quite right or maybe there were extra charges I wasn’t warned about. Either way, it made the whole order feel a lot more expensive than it should’ve been.

I gave it 4 stars because my order came exactly the way I picked it out. The colors were right, the quantity matched, and nothing was missing, which I definitely appreciated. I did take a minute to lay everything out and double-check the little details, but it was all there. Easy, straightforward experience overall.

The yarn itself is good quality and the kits are nice, but the prices feel a little high for what you actually get. I’d probably only buy again if there was a sale. I also had to contact customer service with a quick question and got transferred around, which was annoying for something that should’ve been simple.

The pattern instructions were easy to follow overall. There were just a couple spots that threw me off a bit, which I’m partly blaming on the wording and partly on me overthinking it.

I signed up because I was excited for the patterns and thought there would be a nice little community around it, but it just felt like nobody was really there. I saw questions sitting without answers, and most posts had little to no replies. For what it costs, I expected more support and a bit more friendly conversation. It just didn’t feel worth it to me.

After about 20 minutes, I ended up giving up. Personally, it just wasn’t a smooth shopping experience for me

I accidentally ordered the wrong kit, so that part was on me, but returning it ended up being way more of a hassle than I expected. Maybe I’m being picky, but for the price, I kind of assumed the returns process would be smoother. The refund took ages, and I had to follow up to get things moving. Customer service did reply eventually, just not very quickly. The yarn itself is nice, so I don’t want to be unfair, but the return experience definitely put me off a bit

The colors are fine overall, but I was hoping for more shade options (especially for matching different looks). They work, just nothing too exciting

I was really disappointed with this kit. I got close to the end and realized there just wasn’t enough yarn to finish the project, which is the last thing you want after putting in all that time. I had to go out and buy more yarn myself, so it ended up being more of a hassle than it should’ve been

The videos did help a bit, but I still got kinda confused, like confused enough that I had to stop and figure things out on my own.

I’ve had this wool sweater for a few months now it’s been doing well. I keep expecting to find some random little holes or a bunch of pilling because that always seems to happen with sweaters, but so far, not much at all. It was a bit pricey, yeah, but it feels sturdy and like it’s going to last, so I’m not really regretting it

I like ordering from Wool and the Gang. The yarn feels good, the site’s easy enough, no fuss.

Only thing: a couple colors I wanted were sold out. One came back fast, so fine, but steadier stock would be nice
